Brooklands Maserati Sports Auto Theme Slot machine. This three reel tabletop machine has a cosmetically appealing front featuring the sports car emblem. The nice wooden cabinet features a metal façade and bright details. Mills manufactured these machines for overseas markets in Chicago beginning in 1940 for about a year. In this case it was made for export to the UK. Manufacturing was halted after the United States entered into WWII, which makes these machines quite rare. Many of these machines were destroyed or scrapped during WWII, and some were later revamped or modified during and after the war by Boland & Co. While this model would not have been in traditional casinos, it would be found in pubs, service stations and clubs. In working order, accepting nickels. Includes key.
